  27. In your November'92 Series 700 Sales Kit, to be distributed at the
  28. November 9 videoconference, there are several references to a No
  29. Penalty CPU Upgrade. The text implies that the NO Penalty CPU Upgrade
  30. program is valid for the entire installed base of 720, 730 and 750
  31. customers. This is NOT true for Europe. As you know, due to currency
  32. fluctuations, we reduced the local currency price of 720, 730 and 750
  33. systems effective November 1 in many European countries. The impact of
  34. this price reduction is that customers who purchased 720, 730 or 750
  35. systems before November 1 will not get a No Penalty Upgrade. However,
  36. they can take advantage of our very attractive standard upgrade
  37. pricing. Customers who purchase 720, 730, or 750 systems and upgrades
  38. after November 1 and before December 31 will get No Penalty pricing. HP
  39. Europe reserves the right to change upgrade prices after December 31,
  40. 1992.

  48. In your November'92 Series 700 Sales Kit, there is a reference to the
  49. Power Up and Trade Up Programs that exist in the U.S. These programs
  50. are currently being revised to meet European customer requirements. We
  51. expect to announce details of these programs by November 15 via
  52. HOTNEWS. Therefore, please ignore the Power Up and Trade Up details in
  53. your Sales Kit, since they apply only to the U.S.
